Eileen “Boo Boo” Grant passed away peacefully in her home on February 2nd 2013 surrounded by her family. Boo Boo was born April 20th 1936 to Albert Gray Sr and Edith Masten in Blue Lake California. She attended grade school in Blue Lake, freshman year at Arcata High and her remaining years at Hoopa High where she was a cheerleader and a post graduate. In 1956, she married the love of her life Byron Grant in Reno, Nevada and they had five children.

Virgil Kamis Martin tragically passed away on February 10, 2013 in Orleans, CA. He was born on November 12, 1987 in Arcata, CA. Since he learned to talk, Virgil has been a teller of tall tales. All of which, his cousin, Chase truly believed. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his home of Orleans. His happiest times were spent playing with his two sons.

Bertram A. Lane, Jr. was born on March 1, 1962 and unexpectedly passed away on February 19, 2013. Bert left behind three children that he loved dearly: Clinton Pierce, Collin Joseph, and Cassidy Lane. Bert spent his entire life dedicated to serving the public. He graduated from the police academy at College of the Redwoods in 1982 and continued his work in public service up until he retired in 2012.

CA where he attended elementary school and graduated from Arcata high school in 1966. George was drafted in the Army and served active duty in Korea as a crew/gunner on a Chinook helicopter.

Pamela Sundberg, born June 20, 1954 passed away on June 14, 2013. Pam’s incredible zest for life was a quality shared by few, but adored by many. There wasn’t a person she met whom she didn’t call a friend. She was a straight shooter not afraid to say anything, often swearing accompanied by a laugh or playful punch to the arm or tug of the shirt. Her vivacious sense of humor was well balanced with genuine love.

Charlie was born on April 4, 1928 to Reece and Irene Thom in Fort Jones, CA. He was raised with traditional values and culture of the Karuk people. Charles was instrumental in getting the Karuk Tribe recognized by the federal government.

Sandra attended College Elementary, Arcata Middle School and Graduated from Arcata High School in 1956.
